Atkomatic Solenoid Valves Products

About Atkomatic Valves

In 1938, Atkomatic Valve Company started serving the industrial process controls industry, manufacturing heavy-duty, industrial Solenoid Valves. In 1998, Circle Seal Controls, Inc. acquired Atkomatic and continues the manufacture of the Atkomatic Valve Products line.

Atkomatic Solenoid Valves will handle the "open/closed" control of simple gas, water, oil and steam and other clean medias. Likewise, they can withstand the rigors of the more demanding applications like cryogenics fluids, high pressure or super-heated steam, corrosive chemicals and more.

Atkomatic Solenoid Valves are manufactured from Type 316 Stainless Steel, Navel Bronze or Brass. They are available in Normally Open and Normally Closed configurations, that fall in pipe size ranges of 1/8″ to 3″. These valves are based on three different categories: Direct Lift, Pilot-piston Pressure Operated, and Semi-direct Lift types, which handle pressure ranges from vacuum to 10,000 psig, and temperature ranges from −423° F to +500° F (+750° F some models). Atkomatic Solenoid Valves are manufactured to your specific application needs, which translates to the proper seat materials and internal make-up to provide the best possible operation and tightest possible shut-off. Every valve is thoroughly tested on full-flow lines on the fluid closest to it's actual operating conditions, before it leaves the factory, to insure that it functions properly in the field.

That is why you will find Atkomatic 6000 Series Solenoid Valves in the hydraulic-stabilizing system on the “Crawler” that carries the Space Shuttle to the launching pad at Kennedy Space Center. Atkomatic 35000 Series valves can be found as the emergency shut-off valves on co-generation turbine systems to help prevent “overspeed.” Atkomatic 5000 Series valves have been used by stunt professionals in Hollywood, using high-pressure air to flip cars and simulate explosions in the water. Atkomatic 4000 Series solenoid valves are also in boiler and steam systems in schools, municipal buildings, commercial and industrial facilities throughout the world.
