Atkomatic Product Overview
General
- Solenoid valves to meet a wide variety of industrial applications
- 2 position, 2 way valves (one 3-way valve)
- Most are globe style valves with piston poppets (some barstock direct lift)
- Gravity close - with spring and fluid pressure assist
- Most are in-line mounted full ported using pipe threads
- Many are available either normally open or normally closed
- Built to handle all types of clean fluids including caustics, cryogenic, steam, air, water, oil, fluids at elevated temperatures, etc.
Performance Ranges
- Pressure: vacuum to 10,000 psi
- Fluid temperatures: −423° F to +500° F (+750° F some models)
- Pipe sizes from 1/8″ to 3″ (Cv from 0.02 to 71)
Materials of Construction
- 316 Stainless Steel & Naval Bronze or Brass
- Seat material selection
- Elastomer: Buna, Viton®, EPDM
- Plastic: Teflon®, Kel-F
- Metal: Stainless , Brass
Actuators
- Solenoids rated for continuous duty (operational pressure values for normally open valves are based on intermittent duty only)
- Class H and class B available
- Available with NEMA
- Class 1 housing: standard
- Class 4 housings: waterproof
- Class 7 and 9 housings: explosion-proof for hazardous locations
Note: Unless otherwise noted all valves are designed to be mounted in a horizontal stationary line with the coil on top (within ±10 degrees).
Note: All valves are designed to hold pressure in one direction only (see the Cv feature in the section on non-catalog valve options).
Direct Lift Valves
These valves are applicable where large flow volumes are not required and pressures range from medium to very high.
Direct lift valves that are configurable for general applications and are built to order include the 1000 Series, 2000 Series, 3000 Series, 14000 Series and 16000 Series. Direct lift valves that are configurable for special applications and are built to order are the 13000 Series 3-way valve and the 50000 Series valve for high temperature applications.

Pilot-piston Valves
These valves are used where a flow producing a minimum pressure drop is always present in a system or in systems where the valves full flow capacity is not required under low flow conditions.
Pilot-piston valves for general applications that are built to order include the 500 Series, 4000 Series, 5000 Series, 6000 Series, 7000 Series, 8000 Series and 12000 Series. The 35000 Series valve is a special application valve where fast response is required. The HS Series, JJ Series and 15-794 Series valves are designed for the specific purpose applications of steam, air-water-oil, and CO2 and are pre-built for these common applications.

Semi-direct Lift Valves
These valves are utilized where it is desired to have the valve function independent of system flow.
Semi-direct lift valves that are configurable for general applications and are built to order include the 15400 Series, 30400 Series, 15800 Series and 30800 Series. Semi-direct lift valves that are configurable for special applications and are built to order include the 40000 Series for high temperature applications.
